Place views on sheets 5 years 11 months ago #919

Hi

I have an idea for a revit tool.

You create a new sheet which has the title block, level floor plan, schedule & legend all on the sheet which becomes the template.
Then you select this template & then choose all the remaining level floor plans and then new sheets will be created.
All the new sheets will be placed in the same origin position as the template regardless of the varying crop view sizes & positions.

Then the built-in sheet name parameter on the title block gets it''s name from the view name.
Also the viewport title positions to be placed in the same position.
Then maybe a way to manage all these viewport settings once they are already on sheets if you want to make more changes.

Thanks
PJ

Have you try Sheet Copy? modplus.org/en/help/mprsheetcopy
It seems to me that this plugin does almost the same thing that you offer. Well, or I did not quite understand correctly

I did see the sheet copy tool. It duplicates sheets with or without views.
What I was trying to say is place all floor plan views on new sheets in the same position.

I roughly understand your idea, but I'm not sure that this function is worth the time it took. By the way, the title of the viewports can not be moved programmatically (at least in 2015-2017 Revit)

That's ok, no problem.
This was the page I was reading about views & sheets.

Your dimension tools, very useful.
I thought this was interesting

The script dimensions columns to the closest grid.
